Cozy sweaters. Pumpkin spice. Hunting. Crunchy leaves. Winter squash. Fuzzy slippers. A favorite book. Y’all can wait for the temperature to drop if you want. We’re going ahead and embracing all the warm fuzzies of Fall in Dublin GA this week and all through October.

1. Warm Up

Grab the gals and head to Stubbs Park Activity Building’s Dance Studio for a great cardio workout and learn hot new moves to burn up the dance floor during Zumba. Taught by Natalia Chavis & Donella Peacock, get moving each Monday from 6 PM to 7 PM and Tuesday and Thursday 6:30- 7:30 pm for only $5.00 per class.

2. Dig It

Curl up with a mug of cider and a good book as Laurens County Library offers Teen Book Group on Tuesday, September 26th from 5 PM to 6:30 PM, then dig into Fall Vegetable Gardening on Thursday, September 28th from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM with tips for growing all the flavors of Fall like butternut squash, pumpkins, and broccoli.

4. Sweater Season + Shopping

Mmmmmm…is there really anything that says Fall like new snuggly sweaters, leather handbags, or an autumn tablescape? Get all your warm fuzzies with the gals of Smith’s Jewelers and Mint during Girl’s Night Out on Thursday, September 28th from 6 PM to 8:30 PM.

5. Seasonal Delight

Five courses of seasonal yum await at Dublin Farms B&B  on Friday, September 29th and Saturday, September 30th beginning at 7 PM at Ristorante da Maria. From the appetizer to the first dish and continuing through the entrée, and culminating in sorbet and dessert, experience Maria’s skill and love of regional Italian cuisine. This 5 course menu is worth reserving!

6. Local Grown Bubbly

Soups and stews are calling! Get one simmering with a visit to Market on Madison, Saturday, September 30th from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM with an assortment of locally grown herbs and veggies. 7. Fall Color

Who needs leaves? Change the color of your closet during Blush Boutique’s grand reopening on Saturday, September 30th from 10 AM-6 PM. Celebrate their whole new look as they make the move downtown to 105 West Jackson Street with special sales!

8. Get a Rush

Experience a rush as Herrin Compound hosts motorcycle racing Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st. Spectators are welcome Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Admission is $5 per car with Laurens County plates, $10 for all others, and kids 12 and under are free.

9. Tacos & Tunes

Did we mention All You Can Eat tacos…at La Joya?! Yes, you read that right! In celebration of
their 6th anniversary our favorite little taco shop on the corner is having an all you can eat taco bar and mariachi band on Saturday, September 30th from 5 PM to 9 PM.

10. Treat Yo’self Tea

Treat yo’self  with a Saturday afternoon tea  (or better yet, brunch from 10:30 AM-1:30 PM!) on Saturday, September 30th at Vinteaques. Dive into a tray full of delectables like housemade scones, cookies, and finger licking sandwiches accompanied by your favorite teas.

11. Pause

Hit the pause button and reflect during Let Go & Let God at Theatre Dublin on Saturday, September 30th. Doors open at 6 PM and show starts at 7:00 PM.  Written, produced, and directed by a mother, Stephanie R. 12. Fright Fest

Beginning October 6th, new chills await as the Old Slaughterhouse returns for 2017, striking fear into visitor’s hearts. With three terror filled attractions, Haunted Montrose sits in a remote cornfield, silently waiting for nightfall when the terror starts. Wondering what still may be lurking inside Havoc 3-D, Raven Blackout, and Experimental or when it last had human contact? Find out every weekend October 6th-October 31st.

13. First Friday Fall Fest

Music and fall festival frolicking kicks off First Friday, October 6th at 6:30 PM at the Market on Madison followed by an outside viewing of the Disney classic family friendly Halloween movie Hocus Pocus! Ricky’s Snak Shack will serve you a warm funnel cake and slides and bouncies for the kids. Bring your costumes, your trick-or-treat baskets, and your lawn chair and blanket for a fun night.

14. Make Your Heart Sing

Raise hearts in praise Thursday, October 12th at 6:30 PM at Theatre Dublin as World Vision presents Worship In The Round Tour featuring Building 429, Josh Wilson and Chris August. Presented in Nashville’s tradition of musicians in the round, take part in an inspirational night of music, worship, and storytelling.

15. Masked Ball

Mask yourself in mystery and drape yourself in decadence as Page House B & B waltzes with local charity One Hope during The Masquerade Ball on Saturday, October 14th. Savor a delicious wine tasting, chocolate fountain with dipping items, and perfectly paired hors d’oeuvres. Revel in a night of great music and masquerade themed games! Tickets available for $20 at the Page House.

16. Wind in Your Hair

Experience the joys of the open road with OCMA Dream Team on Saturday, October 14th during Champions for Disabilities Bike Ride beginning at 8 AM at the Civitan Fairgrounds. With a police escort, rest stops, and 18 and 30 mile options, it’s the perfect way to breathe in a little fall air!

17. The Piano Man

Stir your emotions with the rich tones of classical piano styling in Downtown Dublin during a live performance by pianist Thomas Pandolfi at historic Theatre Dublin Monday, October 16th at 7:30 PM.

18. Dublin Fall Fair

This one needs no fancy title. We missed it in the Spring, but Dublin Civitan Club loves us (well, not US specifically) so much, they’ve brought Dublin Fall Fair back! From 6:00 PM-10:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17th through Saturday, October 21st, it’s time for Dublin to get it’s Fall Fair on! Fair food, the midway, the rides…they’ll allllll be there!

19. Family Time

Take a breather before the holiday season kicks into high gear at Fairview Park Hospital with a Movie on the Lawn featuring Beauty & the Beast! This free event will be held on the front lawn with special family-fun activities from 4 pm – 7 pm. The movie will reel forward at dusk. Come dressed as your favorite Disney character or action hero and join the fun! Each person must have an individual ticket for entry.
