DESCRIPTION:Don your cloak\, grab your sonic screwdriver or lightsaber\, and suit up for a super fun morning of fandom frivolity during Fantastic Futures: Dublin FanCon hosted by the Laurens County Library on Saturday\, March 28th from 10 AM to 2 PM! \nDublin FanCon 2026\nFantastic Futures: Dublin FanCon allows you to embrace your inner science fiction\, fantasy\, or comic fanatic. Head to the Laurens County Library on Saturday\, March 28th for a morning jam packed with FREE fun for all ages! \nPeruse booths from local and guest artists and other exhibitors\, visit dedicated fan tables with activities and a chance to win prizes\, and sit in for an exciting lineup of speakers. Past guest speakers included Regents Professor of Science Fiction Studies at Georgia Tech Dr. Lisa Yaszek\, Nebula-Award winning author and founder of SCAD’s Sequential Arts Program Bob Pendarvis\, Middle Georgia Paranormal Investigations\, Science Fiction Author Jack McDevitt\, and the authors of the Jekyll Island Chronicles! \n2026 Key Note Speaker\nAnderson Carman How to Make a Comic Book @ 11 AM\nGet an inside look at how a comic book comes to life\, from the first spark of an idea to the finished printed book. \nAnderson Carman is an award-winning Visual Storyteller specializing in traditional ink\, watercolor\, and digital illustration. He has worked with a wide variety of clients such as Coca-Cola\, Walt Disney Co\, Marvel\, Image Comics\, Penguin Random House\, Hulu\, and UGA Press. A SCAD: Atlanta graduate\, Anderson still lives in Atlanta\, GA\, with his wife and three kids. He enjoys Braves baseball\, listening to Broadway tunes\, and playing D&D with friends. \nFun Galore\, Excelsior!\nAmong the bookshelves\, gab with local and guest artists and speakers\, shop for cool crafts and collectables\, indulge in tabletop activities\, and find even more fun: \n\nNEW!
