He felt the community should celebrate in honor of its Irish namesake\, and others agreed. The first festival lasted for 11 days and included a Parade and Pancake Supper which are still celebrated today. The Festival has grown and changed over the years\, and now includes six weeks of celebration. DESCRIPTION:Be charmed as the wee ones express their Irish spirit during St. Patrick’s Baby Erin Go Bragh Contest! \nBaby Erin Go Bragh\nThe annual Baby Erin Go Bragh contest will be held in conjunction with the Miss Emerald City Pageant on Saturday\, February 28th at Dublin High School Auditorium at 9 AM. \nDetails\nBaby Erin Go Bragh is open to ages newborn to two years. Contestants compete in dressy clothing – preferably Sunday best. Contestants are not expected to wear St. Patrick’s costumes. They are judged on best attire\, best smile & best personality. There is also an optional Photogenic Competition and People’s Choice award. \nRegistration\nBaby Erin Go Bragh Applicants must live in or adjacent to Laurens County including: Johnson\, Twiggs\, Wheeler\, Wilkinson\, Bleckley\, Emanuel\, Dodge\, Washington\, Telfair\, and Treutlen or have grandparents who live in Laurens County. The contest fee is $50 per contestant and an additional $20 for photogenic entry (1 photo). \nPhotogenic\nPhotogenic competition is also optional. The photogenic entry must be uploaded at time of registration. All judging for the photogenic competition will be done online by our pageant judges. Baby girl winners will receive a St. Patrick’s themed crown and banner. There will be a crowning of an additional queen in each group of the Miss Emerald City Pageant ages 3-up. Miss Dublin will be crowned in each division based on the residency requirement of living in Laurens County and entering this optional category. Miss Emerald City will be the main title crowned in each division followed by Miss Dublin. Wave at all the frilly green floats as “Lucky” the leprechaun makes his way into town surrounded by floats full of creativity as they make their way through the parade route. \nJoin the Fun\nOrganized by Dublin Civitan Club\, entry deadline to be in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Parade is March 5th. This year’s featured specialty balloons are the VW Bus\, Sunshine\, and Fire Dog! Dine on tasty treats from the onsite concession booth! Carnival rides are available for the kiddos! \nSt. Patrick’s Balloon Fest & Glow\nFriday\, March 20th \nLight up your weekend starting on the afternoon of Friday\, March 2oth as balloons take to the air. \nJam out to hits with DJ Dustin starting at 5 PM. \nBask in the beauty of the balloons glowing beginning at sunset\, around 7:30 PM.  \nSaturday\, March 21st \nAs you’re exploring Dublin GA during the day\, watch the skies for pops of colors from these floating beauties. \nBravis Runyon lights up the stage at 5 PM. \nThe fun at the fairgrounds takes off again on Saturday\, March 21st with another Balloon Glow in the evening\, around 7:30 PM.   \nUp\, Up\, and AWAY!\nAdmission to the Balloon Fest & Glow is free. \nTethered rides may be available for purchase\, at the balloonists discretion\, during both days of the Glow beginning at around 5:45 PM. \nBalloon rides will be available for purchase at the balloonists discretion for $300 (CASH ONLY) beginning Friday afternoon. Tethered rides are $30 (CASH ONLY). BALLOON RIDES ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE SPECIALTY BALLOONS. Hosted by the Erin Garden Club of the Camellia District\, this official St. Patrick’s Festival event invites visitors to experience Dublin’s rich history through some of its most iconic landmarks. \nA Walk Through The Past\nDublin’s story spans more than two centuries\, shaped by craftsmanship\, perseverance\, and civic pride. A ticket to the Irish Ramble includes an opening ceremony at Theatre Dublin\, access to an art show at the Carnegie Library presented by ART Dublin\, and guided access to several historic sites\, including the Page House\, First Baptist Church\, and the Lovett House. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGuests will tour the Page House\, an 11-room Classic Revival home built around 1900 that reflects Dublin’s Gilded Age elegance\, complete with intricate woodwork\, stained glass\, and a grand ballroom once used for social gatherings. \nAt First Baptist Church\, visitors will experience one of Dublin’s most stately landmarks.
