Communities across the nation participate in the observance by ringing bells at exactly 4 PM Eastern Time. In Dublin\, attendees will gather as a bell is rung 13 times\, symbolizing the original thirteen colonies and honoring the birth of our constitutional republic. \nThe ceremony will begin at 3:45 p.m. and feature patriotic songs performed by local schoolchildren\, historical interpretations in colonial attire\, and a reading of The Preamble\, reflections on the importance of preserving the freedoms and responsibilities established by the Constitution. \nThis year’s celebration has been enhanced as part of the nationwide commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary\, offering an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to connect with our nation’s history while joining millions of Americans in a shared moment of remembrance and patriotism. \nWhether you’re a history enthusiast\, a student of American government\, or simply looking for a meaningful community event\, Bells Across America provides a unique way to celebrate the document that continues to shape our nation more than two centuries after its signing. \nRailroad Park is located at 215 South Lawrence Street. \nA Legacy of Service\nThe John Laurens Chapter\, NSDAR is a non-political women’s service organization for women aged 18 and above\, who have traces of descent from a Revolutionary Patriot. Georgia residents do not need a fishing license for fishing on free fishing days on public waters. Residents can fish on any public waters in the state including lakes\, streams\, ponds\, and Public Fishing Areas (PFA). Residents do not need to obtain a Wildlife Management Area (WMA) license to fish on PFA’s or WMA’s . Take this opportunity to introduce someone to the fun of fishing! \nLaurens County\nGeorgia residents can fish without a fishing license at these locations in Laurens County: \nHugh Gillis Public Fishing Area\, located minutes from Dublin is a 109-acre lake and 640 acres of surrounding terrain. This breathtaking spot is managed to provide excellent fishing for anglers of all ages. Major species of fish in the lake include the largemouth bass\, bluegill\, channel catfish\, crappie and redear sunfish. \nRiver Bend Wildlife Management Area is located just 0.2 miles off I-16 on Exit 58. Explore unspoiled beauty at River Bend WMA. Formed by a clear-water spring that flows up at the swamp’s edge\, Troup’s Spring Lake provides ample stock of bass\, bream\, and other game fish. A paved boat-ramp allows easy access to the pond\, as well as hiking trail access to Pugh’s Creek\, which features pristine creek fishing conditions. \nExperience the best stands of mature bottom-land hardwood on the Oconee River.
