Southern Pines Indoor Sports Complex

The Southern Pines Indoor Sports Complex is one of the newest additions to Dublin’s sports field. Built as part of the continued expansion of Southern Pines Regional Park.

Background and Development

The development of our indoor facility, driven by the Dublin-Laurens County Recreation Authority, marks an exciting step towards transforming Southern Pines into a regional sports hub.

Facility Size and Layout

Discover the incredible indoor complex that covers around 52,000 square feet, one of the largest sports facilities. Inside, athletes will have access to an incredible range of features, including 27,000 square feet of versatile indoor turf designed for soccer and football training, multiple basketball courts equipped with 12 goals for both games and practice, volleyball and pickleball setups, and three batting cages for baseball and softball development.

Plus, there’s an expansive 8,000-square-foot mezzanine for fitness and training programs. The thoughtfully designed layout accommodates multiple sports at once, creating an exciting environment for teams, trainers, and tournaments to thrive.

Southern Pines Recreational Park

The indoor facility is only one part of what makes Southern Pines unique. Southern Pines Recreational Park features a large outdoor complex that includes 15 baseball and softball fields, soccer and football fields, pickleball courts, walking trails, and tournament spaces. This means athletes can go from indoor training to outdoor competition in one location.

Springdale Park

Springdale Park is a great option for athletes seeking a combination of open space and functional training areas. Recognized for its accessibility and versatility, it acclimates both organized sports and individual workouts. Sports training available at Springdale Park includes football, soccer, running, conditioning workouts, and baseball/softball.

Springdale Parks open fields allow for sprint drills, agility circuits, and specific practice. This option is ideal for trainers who require plenty of space for organized workouts.

Stubbs Park Gymanasium

Stubbs Park is ideal for beginners, youth athletes, and recovery sessions. You can practice a variety of sports, including basketball, light football drills, and engaging fitness training, all while enjoying the scenic walking trails. Oconee Gymnasium

Oconee Park is a versatile sports facility in Dublin, Georgia. It provides space for both competitive play and structured training sessions.

The Weight Room is open Monday to Friday from 5 AM to 8 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Open Gym for all ages is available Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM; closed on Sunday.

For adults only, Open Gym is held Monday to Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

With a strong appreciation for smooth jazz, R&B, and classic English films, Mercedes Hill has a well-rounded personality and passion for positively impacting others has made her a perfect fit for the Visitors Center Coordinator role. Originally from the small town of Adel, GA, Mercedes is confident, dedicated and excited to learn about her new forever home. As the oldest of 7 siblings and a loving mom to an adorable little boy, she is experienced in being a committed and active team member. She recently graduated from Georgia Military College with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Management. At Visit Dublin GA, she is the friendly face that welcomes our guests, making them feel right at home during their visit. Mercedes loves meeting new people and hearing their stories. Along with entertaining our guests, her daily activities include providing informational guides and brochures catered to each individual’s needs, maintaining the gift shop, updating spreadsheets, and ensuring the Visitors Center is in tip-top shape. Mercedes is passionate about exploring Dublin and sharing her discoveries with everyone she meets. Maintaining our vegetable and pollinator gardens has given her a newfound love for gardening, which brings her profound joy and tranquility.
