Meet Kellie Oliver
With Photographer Appreciation Month coming up in October, we wanted to recognize the gift photographers give their communities.
They spend their time behind the camera so the rest of us can look back later and remember what a place, an event or a season of life actually felt like.
Dublin is fortunate to have one of those storytellers right here at home. You’ve probably seen Kellie Oliver‘s work before, even if you didn’t know her name.
For the past three years, Kellie has photographed much of the Dublin you see across Visit Dublin GA’s website, print pieces and campaigns. Her approach is simple: let the moment happen.
That instinct is exactly what first drew Visit Dublin GA to her work. We wanted someone who could photograph life here as it actually feels, and Kellie has a way of noticing the moments worth remembering before they disappear.
Behind The Camera
Kellie has called Dublin home for more than 35 years, giving her a perspective that goes well beyond knowing where to point the lens.
Her photography reaches far beyond community events, too. Wildlife, sports and macro photography are among her favorite subjects, and her work has earned numerous awards both in the United States and internationally.
Closer to home, she has been recognized at the Georgia National Fair for four consecutive years, including a Best Overall honor. If you’re headed to Perry for the fair this October, you’ll be visiting a fall tradition that has become part of Kellie‘s own photography story.

Kellie Oliver Photography Showcase
September 12 | 6 PM-8 PM | Curate Workspace
This September, Kellie is stepping out from behind the camera for her inaugural Photography Showcase.
Join her at Curate Workspace in Downtown Dublin to browse some of her favorite images, hear the stories behind the photographs and shop a selection of her work.
The evening is also a celebration of local women-owned businesses. Curate will host the event, with coffee and light bites from Mission Bake Shoppe and Elevated Eatery. Admission is free.
Kellie‘s investment in this community started long before she began photographing it for Visit Dublin GA.
Over more than three decades in Dublin, she has served with organizations and initiatives including Leadership Dublin Laurens, Heart of Georgia United Way, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, the Dublin Housing Authority Advisory Council and Civitan Club, where she was Dublin’s first female member.
She was also part of the original St. Patrick’s Main Street Munchies Committee, helping begin a tradition that has grown into today’s St. Patrick’s Music & Munchies.
For Kellie, documenting Dublin is another chapter in a much longer relationship with the place she calls home.
