Carl Vinson VA Medical Center
The Dublin VA Medical Center originally served as a Naval Hospital when it was established in 1945. The construction of this facility resulted in the creation of Veterans Boulevard, a railway connecting Macon and Savannah to the location, and a boom in Dublin GA’s population. Since 1948, the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center has been serving veterans living in Georgia. The center is on 75 acres and has 340 operating beds, including 161 nursing care beds and a 145-bed domiciliary for Veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
