Visit Dublin GA and Laurens County 4-H are buzzing with excitement about the Great Southeast Pollinator Census and have teamed up for an afternoon of education, family friendly activities, snacks, and most important of all, counting bugs!
Join us at our Official Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail Pollinator Pitstop from 2 PM to 6 PM for these fun-ducational activities:
- Hourly talks from Georgia 4-H Pollinator Ambassador, Lorelei Mullis, about types of pollinators, plants pollinators love, how to participate in the count, and more!
- 15 minute Pollinator Counts
- Hourly Story time
- Plant and bug themed coloring pages
- Refreshments for our bee-rilliant counters
- An interactive You are the Pollinator Photo Op

Great Southeast Pollinator Census
The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia to make a difference for pollinator conservation, encourage better entomological literacy, and help people across the Southeastern US create sustainable pollinator habitats. Anyone can participate. Just take 15 minutes to count how many bugs visit a particular plant, log what type of bugs visited, and upload your counts HERE.
