Experience an evening of grandiose classical performance as pianist Edward Eikner takes the First Baptist Church stage Sunday, November 3rd at 2 PM.
Considered an outstanding musician of his generation, native Texan Edward Eikner attended Baylor University on a Van Cliburn scholarship and did all of his graduate work at the revered Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. He has done extended study in Europe on a Fulbright grant, and is at present enjoying an exciting and diverse career. His appearances as recitalist, soloist with symphony orchestras, and as chamber musician have taken him all around the globe with sensational reviews to his credit from the world’s most important music centers, including New York, Paris, London, Vienna, Tokyo, Beijing, Moscow, and Buenos Aires. Collaborating with many of the finest musicians of the day, he enjoys exploring music lesser known (Brazilian, Spanish, Greek, Chinese) as well as the mainstream repertoire. He is currently based in Macon, GA, where he is Professor Emeritus at Wesleyan College.
