Usher in 2025 Dublin-style! Way back in the day, it was a tradition to gather in front of Lauren’s County’s oldest bank, Farmers and Merchants Bank, on New Year’s Eve to watch the clock turn to midnight. Originally located in Downtown Dublin on Jackson Street, Farmers and Merchants Bank is no more, but the Downtown Dublin Development Authority, Main Street Dublin, and City of Dublin brought the tradition back with New Year’s Eve Shamrock Drop at the Fred Roberts! This year, the drop is moving to the parking lot of Theatre Dublin.
The brightly lit shamrock descends from behind Theatre Dublin to count down the clock and ring in the new year with a bubbly toast. But the party starts long before midnight! The fun begins with music in the theatre parking lot. Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome. The official celebration takes place from 8 PM until 12:30 AM.
