Visit Dublin GA unveils four selfie stations in Downtown Dublin, Georgia.

November 14th, 2025 – Today, Visit Dublin GA unveiled the creation of selfie stations placed in four locations around Downtown Dublin, Georgia. Strategically placed in Downtown’s most photographed and picturesque locations, these stands, designed to hold a cellphone horizontally or vertically, are available for free use by visitors and locals alike.

During a conference held in Gwinnett County, Miriam Lewis and Arilyn Erickson, Executive Director and Project Manager of Visit Dublin GA respectively, discovered a cute little picture frame with instructions on how to place your phone to get the best picture with an adorable sweets mural background. After further investigation, they found that these frames were scattered all across the city of Duluth in front of art, historical buildings, and gorgeous landscapes. The Visit Dublin GA crew began to ponder how they could implement a project like this in Dublin. With the creative help of Good Grit Agency and the printing prowess of Dublin Sign Company, the Dublin Selfie Stations were born!

After designs were complete, the next phase was finding those perfect spots to get selfies in Dublin. The first location was obvious: The brand new postcard mural that the University of Georgia Archway Program designed for Downtown. On September 22nd, the first Dublin Selfie Station was installed, and it quickly started to gain organic traction. Three more stations were placed around Downtown Dublin at the following locations: Jackson Plaza, Martin Luther King, Jr. Monument Park, and Theatre Dublin. “As the tourism marketing for Dublin-Laurens County, we really want to showcase what Dublin GA has to offer while also creating a fun experience for our visitors and our community,” says Miriam. “These first four selfie stations highlight places where we know people love to take pictures, but as we expand past Downtown, we hope to utilize these stations as tools of exploration and curiosity.”

“When I moved here in 2008, Downtown Dublin wasn’t giving the vibes of other cutesy small towns I would visit,” recalls Arilyn. “After the years of renovations, revitalization, and tender love and care the city, development authority, and other partners put into creating what Miriam and I would call the “Gilmore Girls aesthetic,” all that hard work needs to be shown off. And what better way to do that than to give people interactive photoshoot opportunities!”

Each selfie station has a QR code that links to VisitDublinGA.org, so tourists not only get a souvenir photo with their phone, but also information about local destinations and events. The plan going forward is to create more designs for these selfie stations and to scatter them across Dublin at popular and not as well know points of interest.

If you run across one of these selfie stations and get a super cute shot, use the hashtag #DublinGA and tag @visitdublinga on Instagram, and you just might get featured in their story.
