Meet Laura Wilson
Every great downtown has people who make it feel a little more special. The kind of people who remember your name, help you find the perfect outfit, and make shopping feel like catching up with a friend.
This month, we’re introducing you to one of those people: Laura Wilson, owner of Mint Boutique in downtown Dublin.
Her story is proof that sometimes your favorite places have a funny way of becoming part of your own story.
From Customer to Owner
Long before she owned Mint Boutique, Laura was one of its regular customers. Over time, she joined the team as an employee, formed a close friendship with the boutique’s original owner, and in October 2024, took the reins as the new owner. Today, the two remain great friends, a fitting continuation of a boutique built on relationships.
Inside Mint, you’ll find thoughtfully curated fashion alongside exclusive brands you won’t find anywhere else, including Karlie, Z Supply, Matisse, Tatum James, Betsy Attard, and Charlie Southern. Every purchase is wrapped with care, thanks to complimentary gift wrapping that’s become one of Laura’s signature touches.
More than a boutique
Laura believes downtown shopping should feel like an experience. Throughout the year, Mint Boutique hosts events that bring the community together, from its Mother’s Day Flower Bar to the annual Christmas Open House. The boutique is also a familiar face at downtown favorites like Monster Dash, December’s Sip & Stroll, Jingle & Mingle, and the beloved Dublin Service League Fair & Marketplace.
When flowers are in bloom, you might even catch Laura making a midweek stop at Mission Bake Shoppe to pick up a bouquet of locally grown flowers before opening the store for the day.
Rooted in Dublin
Outside the boutique, Laura continues to invest in the community as a member of the Dublin Service League, supporting projects and events that make Dublin an even better place to call home.
It’s people like Laura who remind us that shopping local isn’t just about what you take home. It’s about supporting neighbors who pour their hearts into downtown every single day.
Next time you’re exploring downtown Dublin, stop by Mint Boutique and say hello. You might leave with a new favorite outfit, perfectly gift-wrapped, and you’ll definitely leave knowing the story behind one of downtown’s brightest storefronts.

After all, the best boutiques don’t just sell great style. They become part of the community that wears it.
