Visit Dublin GA announces a week of events for travelers at the Dublin Visitors Center for National Travel and Tourism Week 2025.

Dublin, Georgia April 25th, 2025 – National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) is the celebration of the contributions of the tourism industry on economic growth, creating jobs, and shaping communities and falls on the week of May 4th through May 10th in 2025. In 2023, the travel industry generated $109.2M in visitors spending, supported 1,127 jobs, and generated $8.2M in state and local tax revenues for Laurens County.

As NTTW shines a spotlight on tourism’s essential role as an economic driver, it is equally as important to highlight a major player in the industry: The Tourist. Their actions, from choosing destinations to booking accommodations and activities, directly influence the economic and social impacts of tourism. As a “Thank You!” to the tourists who make their way to Dublin-Laurens County, Visit Dublin GA will be hosting special activities throughout Travel and Tourism Week.

“Tourists play a pivotal role in allowing communities to thrive by bringing in new money, contributing to local businesses, and creating demand for diverse services,” says Arilyn Erickson, Project Manager for Visit Dublin GA. “We really wanted to do something that shows our visitors that we appreciate them while also showcasing some of the local goods and services that Dublin has to offer.”

The kickoff event for Travel and Tourism Week at the Dublin Visitors Center is Tranquil Travel Yoga hosted by local instructor, Sherrie Jackson. Many visitors to the Dublin Visitors Center travel four or more hours, so the idea was to give them a rejuvenating yoga session to help them along their way. “Life is a journey, so why not a joyous reset?” says Ms. Jackson.

Some other events include a gift basket giveaway and Doggies and Donuts featuring dog bandanas created by Tasty Paws Pets and dog treats and doughnuts from Williamson’s Bakery . “This is a great opportunity for visitors to get a sample of Dublin’s flavor and hospitality, and that is what will keep them coming back for more,” says Perry Williamson, owner of Williamson’s Bakery.

The full event lineup with descriptions can be found on the event calendar on VisitDublinGA.org.

Visit Dublin GA hopes to make this a yearly event. Locals are encouraged to participate in the National Travel and Tourism Week festivities and meet and mingle with Dublin’s visitors.
