Owner

The Ice House is proudly family owned and operated, with family members working together to provide the Dublin community with memorable experiences. The Acosta family also owns several well known businesses in Dublin, including Moe’s on Madison, Hemingway’s Tobacco & Tapas, Dublin Farm, and Petals & Pastries. Their businesses have become an integral part of Dublin’s local scene, giving residents and visitors welcoming places to gather, enjoy great food and drinks, and spend quality time with family and friends.

History

The Ice House, a restored warehouse originally constructed by E.B. Mackey in 1925, has a rich history as the former headquarters of The Mackey Ice and Freezer Company. Over time, it has also been home to the Dublin Ice Company and the Birdsey Feed Warehouse, among others. In 2007, the building underwent a thorough renovation, transforming it into a special event venue that beautifully blends Southern charm with a modern urban touch. In 2018, further enhancements were made to update both the interior and exterior of the space. Visitors can take in the exterior of this historic building as part of the Downtown Dublin Walking Tour.
