About the Festival

Since its inception in 1974, the Possum Hollow Festival has been a cherished part of Dexter’s cultural fabric. and continued to be a highlight of the Dexter community calendar until 2011. For over three decades, families, friends, and neighbors gathered annually to revel in the festivities, showcasing local talent, craftsmanship, and camaraderie. Now, after a hiatus, the festival is back, reigniting the cherished traditions and excitement that defined this beloved event for so many years.

Event Highlights

• Toe Tapping: Get ready to tap your feet and dance along to the tunes of talented local bands! The lineup includes performances by Ronnie Mullis, The Chryslers, Danville Train, Brantley Family, Brandon & Maggie Pickle, and 47 By Crow. With a variety of musical styles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
• Classic Show: Across the street from the ballpark at Dexter Assembly of God, admire classic cars and vintage tractors on display at the Car and Tractor Show. It’s a showcase for automotive enthusiasts and history buffs alike.
• Shop Til Ya Drop: Explore 85 vendors offering arts, crafts, and delicious food. From handmade treasures to savory delights, there’s plenty to discover and enjoy.
