Visit Dublin GA and the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce launch Merry & Bright Nights, a new initiative to light up Dublin GA.
Dublin, Georgia, October 30th, 2026 – Visit Dublin GA and the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to bring a little sparkle to Dublin GA. Merry & Bright Nights is a brand new initiative created to get all of Laurens County into the holly jolly spirit of the holiday season. Throughout the entirety of December, local homes, businesses/organizations, and churches are encouraged to “light up Dublin” with sparkling Christmas decorations for both the community and visitors to enjoy.
“Dublin’s holiday travel often takes a dip during the winter months, so we started brainstorming creative ways to turn Dublin into the Hallmark town that we all know it can be,” explains Miriam Lewis, executive director of Visit Dublin GA. “And what better way to celebrate the season than with a partnership that will bring joy to the whole community?”
“The holiday season is such a special time to bring our community together, and we are excited to partner with Visit Dublin GA on this new initiative,” said Jennifer Jarvis, President & CEO of the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce. “Merry & Bright Nights is a wonderful opportunity for our residents, businesses, and churches to showcase their creativity and community pride while spreading Christmas cheer throughout Laurens County. We hope this becomes a cherished holiday tradition that brings families together, supports our local businesses, and gives visitors another reason to experience all that Dublin-Laurens County has to offer.”
Merry & Bright Nights isn’t just about decorating for Christmas; it’s also about gifting the community and visitors with dazzling displays and friendly competition. Residences, businesses/organizations, and churches local to Laurens County will compete in their individual categories for the coveted Peoples Choice Award. In honor of America’s 250th birthday, the theme for the inaugural Merry & Bright Nights competition is What does an American Christmas mean to you? Any local interested in participating can register their location on the Merry & Bright Nights website. Registration ends November 16th.
The full map of locations will launch on the Merry & Bright website on December 4th, just in time Downtown Dublin’s annual Christmas tree lighting. For those eager to see all the fabulous displays, attendees of the Dublin Visitors Center’s Holly Jolly Welcome, Tuesday, December 1st from 4 PM to 7 PM, will be gifted exclusive early access to the map. People’s Choice voting will take place from December 1st through 15th.
