From World War veterans to the grandparents of World Boxing Champion Sugar Ray Robinson, the Historical Society and City of Dublin are working to restore this cemetery and uncover the identities of those buried here. Located on Parker’s Dairy Road, this cemetery was the primary African American cemetery until H.H. Dudley established a private cemetery in the early 1930s. Today, a new sign, directory, and benches have been installed where visitors can enjoy the serenity found only “across the creek.”
