Visit Dublin GA had the privilege of working with two students from the Dublin-Laurens Summer Youth Works Program. Take a tour of Dublin GA through their highlights of local eats to colorful boutiques.

Hello Sunshine Co

Explore a variety of unique items in a colorful, as well as relaxing atmosphere, at Hello Sunshine. The owner, Ms. Kim, is a kind lady and has been operating for 10 years.  Here, you can find the right gift for someone (get me something cow print!). Know that everytime you purchase something, 80% of the profit goes to charities to help change people’s lives for the better.

Company Supply

Enjoy a variety of cuisine at Company Supply. Their dishes range from French, Brazilian, and Mediterranean with an added twist of Southerness that’ll have you loving it! During my visit, I met cowboy look-alike owner Richard Mascaro. He and his fancy establishment’s vibes were very welcoming.

Minute Grill

Feeling old fashion? Minute Grill has you covered! Open since the 1950’s, you can enjoy an old school burger joint in the heart of Dublin GA. Don’t forget about their hot dogs with their homemade slaw and chili with a side of fries! “Ketchup” at the counter with friends as you watch the staff work their magic to fix your food.

Hometown Grill

Find your fixins at this southern soulful eatery. Hometown Grill, fills your tummy with juicy fried chicken, cheesy mac and cheese, and green collards. You will have a hard time picking out you want to eat for lunch and dinner. Great for catering events if you are too busy to cook a meal for guests.

Strickland’s Boots

With over 6,000 boots of different brands and sizes, you won’t have a hard time finding the perfect pair of boots at Strickland’s Boots! You’ll get a feeling of nostalgia with the smell of leather that comes with this homey establishment. Using an old filing system, they keep track of your sizes if you grow out of your old pair.

The Exchange of Dublin

Explore your creativity at this colorful boutique, The Exchange of Dublin! Find your trending style with the endless beautiful collections of clothes and decorations. With the addition of online only deals that makes shopping much easier! Shop local in Downtown Dublin GA.

Society Kaffee

Need a place to chill and hang out? Society Kaffee is just the place for you! Savor delicious treats anytime of the day whether its breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  Get grooving with hand selected coffee from Guatemala. Want to do a bit of shopping? Explore the Vintage Room also known as the “Fallout Shelter” within Society Kaffee! Buy unique items that the family has collected all over the world.

Ta’Myiah is a junior at East Laurens High School who is still deciding her future plans after graduating. Ta’Myiah’s favorite part about working with Visit Dublin was going on this tour (finding cow print merch) and learning about local businesses and owners.

Miriam Lewis

Once upon a time, a serial reader of Little Women and Little House On The Prairie, Miriam Lewis has harnessed her love of great storytelling, beautiful photography, and good people, and bundled it into a big package that is Executive Director of Visit Dublin GA. As a destination veteran Miriam joined Visit Dublin GA in 2015. She oversees Dublin Visitors Center operations & staff and Dublin and Laurens County’s marketing communications while leading strategic initiatives to maintain and strengthen the tourism industry in Dublin. Her favorite work hobbies include making good old fashioned paper lists (plural), reminding staff to take their breaks (they sometimes listen), quality checking local eats (she’ll quickly suggest goat curry or tongue tacos), and building relationships which become links in partnership across the state, boosting an economic engine for the Laurens County community.
