Dublin isn’t just special because of its scenic views or vibrant festivals—it’s the people here who really make it shine.

Everyone, from shop owners to local artists and dedicated volunteers, brings something unique to the table. That’s why we love to spotlight our fantastic community members. Every month, we’ll introduce you to someone who adds a little extra sparkle to Dublin, celebrating their stories and the unique flair they bring to our town.

This July, let’s raise a glass (and a fork!) to Pauline Reid, affectionately known around town as Mama P, the heart and soul behind Mama P’s Kitchen. If you haven’t yet been charmed by her delicious food and cheerful personality, here’s why you’ll want to visit:

A Taste of the Tropics

Mama P brings the warmth of the Caribbean to Dublin with every dish she serves. Bite into perfectly tender oxtail or savor the spicy-sweet notes of jerk chicken—that’s just a typical day at Mama P’s Kitchen! Her recipes, a blend of Jamaican and Trinidadian traditions, make every meal a celebration of flavors.

Community and Cuisine

More than just a place to eat, Mama P’s Kitchen is a community cornerstone. It’s where locals gather to catch up over a plate of delicious food and where new friendships are forged. Pauline and her husband Chris have created a welcoming space where everyone feels like part of the family.

Next time you’re on Telfair Street, stop by Mama P’s Kitchen for a meal that’s sure to please. With Mama P at the helm, it’s guaranteed to be a deliciously good time!

She oversees Dublin Visitors Center operations & staff and Dublin and Laurens County’s marketing communications while leading strategic initiatives to maintain and strengthen the tourism industry in Dublin.
