The Team Behind Visit Dublin GA

If you’ve ever stopped by the Visitors Center, planned a trip, or stumbled across something unexpectedly fun in Dublin… there’s a good chance Visit Dublin GA had a hand in it.

And no, it’s not just a building off the interstate.

So who is Visit Dublin GA?

Visit Dublin GA is a non-profit destination marketing organization dedicated to sharing the story of Dublin and Laurens County with the world. We’re funded by a portion of hotel-motel tax, which means when people visit, stay, and explore, it helps us keep telling Dublin’s story in bigger and better ways.

Fun facts:

The organization was formed 15 years ago (2011)

Dublin’s very first Welcome Center opened 63 years ago (1963)

Safe to say, we’ve been welcoming folks for a while.

A Big Thank You

Visit Dublin GA is guided by a volunteer board of directors, and supported by a team that genuinely cares about this community. They’re the reason Dublin continues to grow as a destination while still feeling like home.

What we actually do. We like to think of ourselves as Dublin’s biggest cheerleaders locally, regionally, and beyond. That looks like:

Creating videos and print guides

Designing selfie spots and photo moments

Building self-guided walking tours

Promoting events and local businesses

Helping plan group trips and itineraries

And yes… handing out maps and recommendations at the Visitors Center

Basically, if it helps you experience Dublin better, we’re probably working on it.

Miriam Lewis

Once upon a time, a serial reader of Little Women and Little House On The Prairie, Miriam Lewis has harnessed her love of great storytelling, beautiful photography, and good people, and bundled it into a big package that is Executive Director of Visit Dublin GA. As a destination veteran Miriam joined Visit Dublin GA in 2015. She oversees Dublin Visitors Center operations & staff and Dublin and Laurens County’s marketing communications while leading strategic initiatives to maintain and strengthen the tourism industry in Dublin. Her favorite work hobbies include making good old fashioned paper lists (plural), reminding staff to take their breaks (they sometimes listen), quality checking local eats (she’ll quickly suggest goat curry or tongue tacos), and building relationships which become links in partnership across the state, boosting an economic engine for the Laurens County community.
