Find spooky stories, haunted tales, and so much more at the Fall Used Book Sale at the Laurens County Library! Continuing through October, peruse through an assortment of gently used and well loved books Monday through Saturday during regular library hours. Hard cover, soft cover, audiobooks, magazines, CDs, tapes, and more, you’ll find something you’ll love, for sure!

Main Street on Stage

The Dublin Main Street Players return to the Theatre Dublin stage October 9th through 11th at 7 PM for Over the River and Through the Woods! Nick is a young, single, Italian-American marketing executive from New Jersey ready to leave the nest, but not if his loud and loving grandparents have anything to say about it. Fall is all about gathering together for fun times with family, and this heartwarming family comedy fits right into those vibes. Tickets are $15, and you can purchase by visiting the Dublin Visitors Center, Colleen’s China, or Emerald City Treasures.

Last Farmers Market Day

Load up on fresh corn, handmade soaps, and pecan pie because there is only one weekend left for farmers market season! Coming straight from the farm, kitchen, or studio, purchase a sample of Dublin’s finest produce, artisan products, and baked goods from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM on October 11th.

Dublin Fall Fair

Leaves aren’t the only things getting colorful this time of year! The Civitan Fairgrounds floods with sparkly, twinkling light covered carnival rides starting October 15th through 18th during the Dublin Civitan Fall Fair. Fill up on popcorn and turkey legs, purchase a wristband to ride on the rides all day, and play games all along the midway. Gate admission is $7.

Shine in the Pines

Ride out to Southern Pines Park for the 8th Annual Shine in the Pines Truck Show on October 17th & 18th. This event has it all: Big rigs, vintage cars, a big truck light show, concessions, silent auctions, Truck & Trunk or Treat, a kids’ costume contest, and more! Parking is $5, but admission is FREE.

Spooky Treats

Little monsters, princesses, and superheroes flood the streets of Downtown Dublin GA on October 23rd during Spooky Treats in the Streets. Get the kiddos spookified, don’t forget to bring a goodie bag, and head to Jackson Street for surprise treats from the local vendors starting at 5:30 PM.

Monster Dash

Run, run, run for your lives… and for candy! Monster Dash returns to Downtown Dublin GA on October 25th. The day starts off with a 5k at 7:30 AM and a 1 mile run at 8:30 AM. Little monsters 10 and under trick or treat around Downtown Dublin GA at 10 AM during the 1 mile Candy Fun Walk. Entry fee is $20 to $35. Sign up by October 11th to get a race day t-shirt!

Chili Cook Off & Fall Festival

As the weather gets cooler, Dublin’s staying warm with pots full of mouthwatering chili! The Downtown Chili Cook Off and Fall Festival returns on October 25th at the Market on Madison. From 12 PM to 4 PM, sample cups of chili from local teams competing to have the best chili in Dublin. Keep the kids entertained all day with inflatables, face painting, yard games, and musical entertainment from Gunshy! Admission is FREE. Chili tasting tickets cost $1 each, $5 for 7, or $10 for 12.

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Too old for trick o’ treating but still want to have fun on Halloween night? Jump to the left, then step to the right to Theatre Dublin for the 50th Anniversary showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show! General Admission is $10, Deluxe Tickets are $20. Purchase tickets HERE.

Arilyn enjoys singing to the plants in the Visitors Center gardens (the Rosalynn Carter Pollinator Pitstop was one of her first projects), playing with traveler’s furbabies, posting aesthetic photography (especially food and unique outdoor scenes), and creating extra punny blogs.
