Make the Most of Geocaching in Dublin GA

Pups & Pollinators

Start your geocaching journey where every visitor should start: the Dublin Visitors Center! Hidden somewhere on the visitors center property is the pup-tastic geocache Barking up the House. Bring Fido along to sniff out the treasure, run around our shaded dog park, and munch on a delicious Williamson’s Bakery dog treat. Stroll through our Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail registered Pollinator Pitstop for a peaceful moment among the flowers after finding the cache.

Bridge to Fun

For a sporty spot the kids will absolutely adore, be on the hunt for Over the Grove. This geocache lies within Southern Pines Regional Park. Walk or run around one of their two ponds, let the kids frolic on the brand new, accessible playground, or bring a paddle and ball along to play a game of pickleball. During the summer months, splash about Southern Pines Water Park. While the cache is quick and easy to find, you’ll want to spend hours in this park!

Two Way Brews

A Wheely Nice Caboose beckons you to Downtown Dublin GA! Train your eyes to pick out the geocache hidden within Railroad Park. Park yourself on one of the benches and watch the memorial eternal flame flicker in the wind. Fuel up for the next leg of your adventure with lunch and a cold beer at Crooked Finger Brewing, Dublin’s brand new, pet and family-friendly brewery. Bubbly, refreshing beer not your flavor? Find something juicy to drink from Elevated Eatery or get your caffeine and sweets fix from Mission Bake Shoppe, both a part of Curate Workspace located inside the Mackey Perry Prior building.

Monument, Market & Movies

A short stroll down the road unveils Monumental Dream. History surrounds you at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Monument Park. Across the street stands the First African Baptist Church where MLK gave his first speech at 15 years old. The walls of the monument immortalize this speech. Travel down Church Street to the Market on Madison, a venue that hosts a variety of events including the Dublin Farmers Market, the Farm to Table Dinner Party, and Pig in the Park. Continue along the road to find Theatre Dublin. When the stage isn’t occupied by sugar plum fairies or the Dublin Community Theatre, movies from kiddie to classic play on Georgia’s largest retractable screen.

A Walk in the Park

Among the foliage in Stubbs Park is where you’ll find Myrtles not Murdered. Take a moment to admire the trees scattered throughout the park and the seasonal plants growing in the butterfly garden. Grab your board, grind on the rails, and hit the halfpipe at the skatepark. Plan for the perfect picnic for the whole family with tables, a playground, and plenty of open space. If you’re inclined to wander, take a short walk from the park to the Laurens County Library. Partake in their wide variety of special monthly activities and check out their other amenities, like the Heritage Center.

Trail to Snoozeville

After a long day of geocaching, it’s time to kick back, relax, and enjoy a cozy stay in one of Dublin’s hotels. But wait! There’s just one more geocache to grab, and luckily, it’s Technically A Stones Throw from the hotels. If you’re up for one more adventure before hitting the hay, meander down the gravel path lined with pollinator friendly plants toward the DuBose Porter Center, where events like the Dublin Service League Fair and Marketplace and the Festival of Trees take place.
